Appeal Information
CPLED offers a formal appeal process for students who wish to challenge certain decisions. Appeals must follow the timelines and requirements outlined in the applicable policy.
Appeals: Practice Readiness Education Program (PREP)
Students in PREP may request reconsideration or appeal decisions such as:
- Denial of admission or readmission
- Suspension or expulsion
- Requirement to repeat PREP
- Capstone Evaluation results (specific conditions apply)
Timeline
You must submit a reconsideration request within 14 calendar days of receiving the decision. If appealing a reconsideration decision, submit an appeal within 14 calendar days of that decision.
Fees
- Reconsideration: $250 plus applicable taxes
- Appeal: $250 plus applicable taxes
Appeals: Legal Research and Writing (LRW)
Students in LRW may appeal decisions such as:
- Suspension or expulsion
- Denial of readmission after expulsion
- Final course results
- Assessment results based on failure to accommodate
Timeline
Submit an LRW Notice of Appeal within 14 calendar days of receiving the decision.
Fees
Appeal: $250 plus applicable taxes
