Requirements
PREP is the official Bar admission program for the law societies of Alberta, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, Nunavut, and British Columbia (September 2026). It is also accepted as an approved Bar admission program in the Northwest Territories and the Yukon. As each law society sets its requirements for admission to the profession in its jurisdiction, confirm the Bar admission requirements with your desired law society before registering with CPLED.
Candidates enrolling in PREP are not required to have secured articling positions. However, to be eligible for a PREP tuition subsidy, you must be a confirmed member of a CPLED participating law society.
